Helmet waiver has to be filled out before climbing. 

Reservations are no longer required and capacity limits have been lifted for the indoor climbing wall.
 

Indoor Climbing Wall Equipment Rentals 

Equipment rentals (harnesses, shoes, etc.) are free for members and $5.00 for non-members. Non-members can pay for the rental equipment at the front desk and then inform the climbing wall assistant to be set up with rental equipment.

About Our Indoor Climbing Wall

Our indoor climbing wall is a Rad Wall that was constructed in 1997. It is a 30’ by 10’ L-configuration at 32’ tall and is inspected every four years, as recommended by the Climbing Wall Association for indoor walls.

Our wall is outfitted with two annually inspected Trublue Auto Belays. Auto belays are very easy for both first time and experienced climbers to operate.

A climbing wall monitor is always on duty during open climb hours and can assist climbers in safety training, introduction to climbing etiquette and procedures, and belaying. 

The Family YMCA offers a range of indoor and outdoor climbing classes for all ages and experience levels. Click here for information on our climbing classes. Belay certification classes are also offered monthly.
