LOS ALAMOS TEEN CENTER

TEENS: With our fully stocked recording studio you can access your musical side by producing and recording your own original music. Whether you want to become a rockstar, record covers of your favorite song, create your own distinct hip-hop beats, or just get better at playing the guitar the music studio is the place to refine your sound and become your best.

If you want to learn the basics of our software and state-of-the-art equipment, come for a Recording Studio Mentoring session and meet with mentor Ryan Schultz. He will walk you through the basics and orient you to the software and equipment. Once you've been signed off by Ryan, you'll be free to access the Studio anytime to work on your projects.

If you’re interested in bringing your own music and editing, mixing, and spicing it up, check out our Recording Studio Mentoring times for your chance to pick at Ryan’s brain and get the one-on-one input and support you need to make your work perfect.

Recording Studio Mentoring

Offered Tuesdays & Thursdays, year-round, from 3:00 - 5:00 pm.

Recording Studio Mentoring is a mentor-facilitated program where teens learn the basics of the software and equipment available to them in the studio, and receive instruction and guidance on a variety of specific recording and producing skills and techniques. Once teens have taken Studio 101, they are free to utilize the Recording Studio on their own or with peers to record and produce their own music.

It is also a place where teens can work on projects and utilize the studio equipment and software under guidance of an experienced mentor. Whether new to recording or a seasoned producer, it can be helpful to have another set of hands, eyes and ears to tackle a project or try to capture a sound.
