Y Earth Services (YES) Corps

The Y Earth Service Corps (YESC) is a summer service-learning program for youth ages 12 to 15 (going into 7th-9th grade). It meets Monday-Friday, from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm; participants can choose the weeks they wish to attend. The crew members work on various weekly projects over the summer to improve our local environment and community. Typical projects include trail maintenence and clean-up on local trails, landscaping, gardening, weeding, job shadowing, and many others. Space is limited to 8 youth per week.

Monday thru Thursday will be volunteer/service-oriented projects.

Fridays will be fun and relaxing days with activities such as: swimming, park days, games/activities/climbing wall at the YMCA, etc...

Finally, the season will conclude with a group campout on Friday, July 28th! All YESC participants for the 2023 Summer Season will be invited! Even if you only participate in one week of YESCorps!

Our supervised summer program includes opportunities for environmental education and action, leadership development, and cross-cultural awareness.
