Little Youth Soccer (Ages 4-5 & 6-7)

YMCA Little Youth Soccer is a 6 week introductory soccer program will focus on developing coordination and getting introduced to the basic skills & rules of soccer. Practices are two days per week from 5:30-6:30pm in the evenings in Los Alamos and White Rock. Teams of 6-8 players allow for easier coaching, and more practice time and more game time for players. Volunteer coaches, assistants, and team parents are needed. Volunteer coaches will be provided lesson plans & skills and drills ideas. Players get to keep their awesome team jerseys, sponsored by Los Alamos Children's Dentistry! NEW: participants will also get a soccer ball to keep!

Season Fee: $80/ $60 for Y Members
Coach Discount: $30 discount for coaches! Limit 1 head coach and 1 assistant coach per team.
NEW: Included in registration, participants will get a soccer ball to keep!

Program payment policy: payment upon registration is required, no refunds. Credits will be given on a case to case basis.

Spring 2024

***Child must be a minimum of 4 years old by start date of season OR turn 4 years old during the season to be able to register for LYS. If child does not meet 4 year old age guideline, please refer to our Little Kickers program or Challenger Soccer camp below for more age-appropriate programs.

Fall 2024

Register: June 28th - August 11th, 2024
Season: August 26th - October 4th, 2024

***ONLINE COACH PAPERWORK PROCESS:

Please go through the fully digitized SPORTS volunteer signup process according to the steps below to become a volunteer coach:

First read/review the following:

Child Protection Training
Bloodborne Pathogen Awareness Training
OSHA Training
Lifting Training
Child Protection Policies

THEN complete the following 3 forms:

1. Volunteer Application Form

2. Background Check Form

3. Liability Waiver and Covid Waiver

FINALLY, wait for an email from our staff giving you an official "green light" to volunteer

***If you prefer, you can still complete the volunteer paperwork process manually. If so, follow instructions below:

Manual signup forms, has to be printed, signed and handed into front desk at the YMCA.

1. Volunteer Application Form - hand in fully filled out.
2. Read the following pdfs:

3. Read through the Volunteer Handbook and sign the last page - hand in the last page signed.

4. Fill out the Covid - 19 liability waiver - sign and hand in.

Little Kickers Soccer (Ages: walking -4 years old)
YMCA Little Kickers Soccer is a monthly soccer program will focus on developing coordination and learning the basic skills & rules of soccer. This program will be help in the Y Gymnasium on Wednesdays from 9:30-10:00am.

Registration is open now!

Monthly fee: $45 / $26 for Y Members

Program payment policy: payment upon registration is required, no refunds, credits will be given on a case to case basis.

Practices follow COVID-19 safety practices pursuant to current government orders and guidelines.
All program participants must have a parent/guardian sign a COVID-19 waiver before participating.
